ABOUT FOUNDER

Shri. V. B. Hombal was born on 5th August, 1937 at Hubli. He completed his B.A. at Kadasiddeshwar College, Hubli and further studies Law at JSS Law College, Hubli.

Sri Hombal and his team’s initiative in founding Karnataka State Tax Practitioners Association (KSTPA) has had a significant impact on the tax practitioner community in Karnataka. Their dedication to serving the interests of tax practitioners and the trade community is commendable.

Sri Hombal’s vision and leadership have laid a strong foundation for KSTPA’s success and continued growth. By providing resources, training programs, and support, KSTPA has played a vital role in enhancing the professional development and expertise of its members. The association’s efforts have enabled tax practitioners to collaborate, share knowledge, and stay updated with the latest developments in their field.

Now The KSTPA has indeed made a significant impact on the tax practitioner community in Karnataka. Its Stands at 2500 members spread over Karnataka, including 31 District Associations.

Overall, Sri Hombal and his team’s initiative in founding KSTPA has had a profound impact on the tax practitioner community in Karnataka. Through their dedication, vision, and leadership, they have created a platform for tax practitioners to enhance their skills, collaborate with peers, and advocate for their interests. KSTPA’s continued growth and success serve as a testament to the valuable contributions it has made to the tax practitioner community in Karnataka.

I am delighted to announce the “KSTPA Founders Golden Jubilee Celebration”, a national tax conference and Tax Practitioners Day organized by the KSTPA in association with the AIFTP. The event will take place on the 5th and 6th of August at Princess Green Gayatri Vihar, Gate 9, Palace Ground, Bangalore.

Chief Guests for the event having dignitaries Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, the Honourable Vice President of India, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Honourable Finance Minister of India, Shri Pralhad Joshi Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs government of India ,Shri Siddaramaiah, the Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Shri D.K. Shivakumar, the Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, H. K. Patil Minister of Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Karnataka, Krishna Byre Gowda Minister of Revenue in Government of Karnataka, in attendance will make the celebration even more special.

The conference will indeed be a gathering of eminent tax professionals, academicians, and policymakers from across the country. It will serve as a valuable platform for tax practitioners to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and share knowledge on the latest developments in the field of taxation.

Today Shri Nanjunda Prasad, President KSTPA and Co-Chairman, Tourism Committee, FKCCI, Shri B V Gopal Reddy, President FKCCI, Shri G K Shetty, Chairman, Tourism Committee, FKCCI had a meeting with Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon'ble Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs at her office in North Block, New Delhi.

Shri Nanjunda Prasad, President, has requested representation for providing an amnesty to all the GST assesses for the years 2017-18 to 2019-20. The aim is to ensure that no interest or penalties are levied and that the assesses have the right to seamless Input Tax Credit (ITC). This request is aimed at providing relief and support to GST assesses during these particular years.
